Sadly, after three years of sharing donated food with hungry people at Haight and Stanyan Streets, that Saturday sharing must end. Struggles getting enough volunteers to pick up and to cook food led to this unfortunate decision.
Thanks to everyone who took the initiative to resume sharing food at the entrance of Golden Gate Park three years ago and to everyone who kept it going and made it succeed until now.
We still have a weekly Thursday sharing at 16th/Mission BART Plaza, a weekly Friday sandwich sharing at the Civic Center, and a weekly Saturday coffee and bagel sharing in the Tenderloin.

Mike Bell from our ongoing last Saturday of the month sharing at Haight and Stanyan requests help to keep the sharing going. He writes, “We need A RELIABLE person who can:
1. pick up food saturday morning. unless you are really in shape, you will need a car.
2. cook from about 11AM-3PM.”
So please step up to help Mike and the Saturday crew. It can be more than one person.
To volunteer, contact Mike via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by telephone at 415-750-3938 (landline, no texts).
