Food Sharing Times & Locations

Feel free to drop by at the listed cooking & sharing times to help out, eat, or both! If you are visiting SF or want a better sense of geography check out our servings ON A MAP. Please note: servings may be canceled in the event of heavy rain!

Food Not Bombs in the Mission is open to volunteers from 3:30PM to 8PM every Wednesday at St. John The Evangelist Church, 110 Julian Avenue (at 15th))!  Please email beforehand so we can make sure there is someone to welcome you and arrive with a mask over your nose and mouth.  We maintain 6 feet of distance distance among us and have windows and doors open.  See you soon!

Information:  We meet every Friday at 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM at 65 9th St., San Francisco, CA.  We make PBJ sandwiches and distribute them with water and any donated snacks.

We will occasionally cancel serving, so please call or e-mail in advance if interested in attending.

Please note that this sharing consists of sandwich preparation and mobile by foot distribution.  Almost always vegetarian;  extremely rarely, not vegetarian.

Sandwich sharing:  Starts at 6:45 PM–65 9th St. (between Mission and Market). Look for people with bags distributing food on foot.

If you’re hungry check out the Free Farm Stand at 23rd and Treat in the Mission (at Treat Community Garden) on Sundays, 12 PM – 3 PM! Free organic and locally grown goods.

Additionally, help is often needed in picking up food, cleaning up, and/or transporting food, so even if you cannot help cook or serve, you could still be a vital part of Food Not Bombs by volunteering for one (or some!) of these tasks. Please get in touch with us if you are available to help with any of these anytime throughout the week.

We would love to have servings every day of the week, so if you are available to volunteer on a day other than those listed, please get in touch and let us know!!

Emergency meeting place: In the event of a catastrophic disaster or serious emergency SF Food Not Bombs and supporters are encouraged to gather in UN Plaza to begin serving and plan for further action.
