We’re doing an event this Thursday at Station 40 celebrating the birthday of Wolgang Amadeus Mozart.
We’re going to start by playing for Food Not Bombs at the 16th/Mission BART and move into Station 40 at 8pm.

We’ll be bringing out our fans, and I think its going to be a great celebration of life and music and giving and will expose both of our organizations to a wider public.

I’d love it if you can post this event on the site.
Admission for the show is free, with a voluntary donation going to support the musicians.

Bike: My neighborhood is pretty chill, but it may be difficult to find something to lock your bike to because there’s no metered parking. There’s a small nook to store your bike in my lobby if you have issues, in which case bring your bike up to the door.

Walk/ Bike Advise: It’s quite a hike up Leavenworth. If it’s not out of the way, go up Polk or Van Ness to Washington and climb those 3-4 smaller hills to Leavenworth.

We just received word that, tomorrow night, 12/3, Guest Chef Thomas Martinez’s Mission Street Food serving will be benefiting Food Not Bombs. Proceeds will help us buy the few things we can’t recover or otherwise manage for free — oil, cups, spoons, etc! Thanks!

Thursdays
Starting at 6pm

Now is also a great time to volunteer with FNB! We’re always looking for people who want to host a kitchen or otherwise coordinate a serving. We can provide you with food hook-ups. You can do it with friends or leave it open to strangers!

chezgaycafe

Join SF FNB for the second annual Chez Gay Cafe (food support) at Transmarch! We hope to make our event bigger & gayer than ever.

We need lots of help to make it happen, if you’d like to contribute, (1) just show up or (2) email us at sffnbvolunteers@riseup.net to help with with prep and gathering food. This year we will have some turkey fryers and other equipment that will require a little more coordination, but it should make our serving even cooler!

Rumor has it our crew will be sporting tuxedo tshirts, short shorts and skirts, possibly fake french mustaches. We encourage everyone volunteering to dress to impress!

outfits

We hope to see many of our fellow queer FNBers at the cafe, though all respectful folks will be welcomed, queers and allies alike; this event is probably one of the most fun of the year, so please come out!

Please contact us if you are interested in helping, we need assistance in many areas. You can also download fliers, find a ride or housing, attend our planning meetings.

note: in the event of extremely high winds or rain we will have to postpone this event.
